Any damage loss or expense incurred by Management as a result of your breach of these Terms & Conditions will be charged against the credit card. Examples include but are not limited to any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra Guests or Visitors beyond those declared.
PETS
Pets are NOT permitted on Tommerup’s Dairy Farm.
SMOKING AND FIRES
Smoking is NOT permitted in any inside areas of any Property. A $100 cleaning levy may be charged should any evidence be found of smoking occurring within the Property.
Fires are permitted in the designated outdoor fireplaces only and must be kept small and manageable. All fires must be fully extinguished before guests go to bed or stop attending the fire.
AUTHORITY
By confirming a booking with Tommerup’s Dairy Farm you are agreeing, on behalf of your group, to comply with the terms & conditions. A Waiver and Release of Liability form is to be completed on arrival for each person.
If you have a child attending whose parent will not be with them on the visit, please have their parent complete the form and bring it along with you. No accommodation or participation in farm activities will be allowed without a signed waiver for each person. Use of Photographic Images and Testimonials for Promotion. You agree to allow images both moving and still taken of yourself during your stay and testimonials and feedback provided by you to be used by Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd for marketing and promotional purposes.
ENTRY CONDITIONS
As a working dairy farm we have a high regard for safety and as such, we have outlined our conditions of entry in this document. Please ensure that you have read and understood these conditions, prior to booking.
– Please ensure that hands are washed regularly and most certainly after touching animals or being in the dairy, remembering that bacteria can also live in the dirt and water. Animals can carry diseases, some of which can be transmitted to humans and cause serious health issues. For a complete list of these diseases please consult the Qld DPI or their website prior to your visit for clarification or ask Management for a copy of the reference document.
– By visiting our farm, you are accepting that being in contact with animals and in the vicinity of animal housing, can pose a risk with regard to the transference of animal diseases to humans and agree to assume full risk for yourself and your family in this regard. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that children under their care are adequately supervised with regards to hand washing and ensuring they are not putting their hands in their mouths whilst on our farm.
– Please pay particular attention to the farm map in your Welcome Pack. It is your complete guide to accessible and ‘farmer only’ areas.
Supervision of children on our farm is the responsibility of the parent/guardian and no responsibility will be taken in this regard by Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd. No participation in farm activities will be permitted without adult supervision.
– Do not climb through fences unless instructed to. Assume that all fences on the property are electrified. Gate access is provided to permissible areas. Please refer to farm map for clarification or ask Kay and Dave.
– Farm animals are only to be patted/fed under the supervision of a farm guide.
– Enclosed shoes must be worn at all times around the farm.
– Please notify us immediately should you feel that something on the farm is hazardous so that we are able to rectify it for you.
– Strictly no climbing, playing on or touching farm equipment.
– We reserve the right to ask visitors to leave should there be a situation where we believe the safety of visitors, our family, employees or our animals is compromised.
– We do not sell raw milk or raw milk products nor are raw milk samples given at any stage. Thank you for your understanding.
BEHAVIOUR
You must comply with all applicable entry conditions, farm rules and all instructions from Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd its directors, employees, and assigns and the owners and/or caretakers of the Property concerning occupancy, property, health, safety and quiet enjoyment of the Property and our neighbours. You are responsible for damage, breakages, theft and loss of the Property and any part of it during your stay. You must notify us of this immediately. Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd may recover from you repair or replacement cost (at Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd’s discretion).
Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd will not be responsible for any loss, damage, breakages or theft to any property belonging to guests staying at the Property. This is solely the responsibility of the guest.
Only the guests nominated and agreed in the Booking may stay in the Property overnight or participate in farm activities. We reserve the right to refuse entry or participation to our property & activities or any guests not included in the original booking. If any other guests stay or participate, extra charges may apply or the agreement may be terminated without refund.
Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination and eviction without refund and extra charges may be made for security and other expenses.
Should a circumstance beyond our control arise whereby the booking cannot be fulfilled by Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and make a full refund to you of any deposit monies held. We will not pay any form of compensation in such case. We recommend you have adequate travel insurance to cover such situations should they arise.
WHEN LEAVING
Before departure, all food must be removed from fridges, all rubbish put in the appropriate rubbish bins provided, and crockery and cutlery washed and packed away. The Property must be left in a clean and tidy condition.
Extra cleaning charges may be incurred for the cleaning of dirty dishes, dishwasher, emptying the fridge, removal of excessive rubbish etc.
Should the cleaning fee be more than the usual cost for cleaning the property, you will be charged the additional costs over and above the normal cleaning fee which will be charged to your credit card.
All furniture and furnishings must be left in the position they were in when you arrived
The property should be vacated on time and secured. All windows and doors are to be locked. All keys must be returned to Management or as otherwise directed.
You are responsible for the safekeeping and replacement of accommodation keys.
COMPLAINTS
In the case of any problem or complaint, you must inform Management at the earliest opportunity so Management has the chance to rectify the situation as quickly and efficiently as possible. You must allow repair/service access to the property during reasonable hours.
Any complaint, which cannot be resolved locally, must be notified in writing to Management prior to departure from the Property.
Failure to follow this procedure this may hinder the ability of Management to rectify the problem or complaint and reduce or extinguish any claim you may have.
INJURY AND ILLNESS
We recommend all guests purchase travel insurance since Management are not responsible for any injuries, illness or accidents that may occur whilst staying at our property. Please carefully read the entry conditions and risks attached to visiting a working farm before proceeding with your booking.
FOUL WEATHER AND STATE OF EMERGENCY
Please be aware that it is up to our discretion to determine if the weather or emergency conditions are sufficiently inclement to warrant cancellation of your booking. In the event this should happen you will be notified as soon as possible. If you are in doubt and have not heard from us please telephone 0400076556 to check at any time. If we do not answer and a voice message does not inform you of our intention to cancel then you must assume that the booking is going ahead. In the event of a weather based or emergency cancellation we will contact you to arrange a transfer of your booking at no charge.
LIABILITY RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I, the Client or consenting Guardian, understand that there are certain risks involved in outdoor activities that may result in injury or even death. With this knowledge it is my intention by this instrument to exempt, release and fully discharge Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd & Horan and Tommerup, its directors, management, personnel, employees and all related entities from liability or responsibility whatsoever from all courses of action, claims (including but not limited to claims for legal costs and consequential or economic loss,) demands, actions, suits or proceedings of whatsoever nature whether by virtue of the operation of the law of contracts, law of tort, including but not limited to the law of negligence, statute or otherwise and accordingly, the client or the consenting guardian to the client partaking, hereby waives any and all rights it may have against Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd & Horan and Tommerup.
By proceeding with this booking the Client or consenting Guardian agrees to be bound by its terms and conditions. The Client or consenting Guardian acknowledges that the agreement constitutes a contract between the Client or consenting guardian, and Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd which regulates the relationship.
I hereby agree that this clause may be pleaded by Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd as a bar to any action commenced or taken at any time by me or on behalf of someone for me at any time against Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd with respect to or in any way connected with the services provided by Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd to me pursuant to this Agreement.
Only complete and execute the following booking if you agree with the foregoing booking conditions. If you have any queries or require clarification of any of the conditions contact Tommerup’s Dairy Farm Pty Ltd prior to executing the booking. All visitors will be required to fully complete a Waiver & Release of Liability form upon check-in.
Payment Policy
A payment of 20% of the total booking cost is required at the time of booking. Payment of the balance of your total booking cost is required to be paid in full 3 weeks prior to arrival. This payment will automatically be charged to your card through the online booking portal. Any balance outstanding for farm stay accommodation or purchases made on the farm after check-in will be automatically charged to the credit card stored on the booking portal should payment not be made prior to departure. The credit card surcharge will also apply to this payment.
Payments of the amount due must be received in Australian Dollars, net of any bank or other transaction charges.
Payments not able to be processed at the required time prior to the booking will result in the booking being cancelled automatically without notice or liability to you.
We accept payment by the following methods:

A credit card surcharge of 2.2% will be levied to cover transaction costs associated with credit card payments.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to your check-in time will be subject to a $50 administration fee. There will be no refund for cancellations made 21 days or less from the start of your booking. We will refund in Australian Dollars only and will not be responsible for any variations to exchange rate or pay any bank fees or charges associated with any such refund.
Transfers or changes to the dates of your booking can be made 21 days or more prior to the start of your booking. One change of date can be made per booking. No transfers or changes are permitted 21 days or less from the start of your booking.
We strongly advise you to purchase a travel insurance policy to protect you from cancellation charges as our policies are strictly enforced to protect our income.
