Sunday 8 May 2022.

Family is at the heart of everything we do. A visit to our farm is all about connecting; connecting with loved ones, connecting with the farmers, connecting with the land, and with the animals.

So, we thought why not do something a little special for our farm gate market for Mother’s Day – something to celebrate the joy we get from sharing our farm with other families, to make memories that last a lifetime.

We’ll have the farm larder open for you to fill your empty picnic baskets on your way out, plus just a few extra special stalls with local products for Mother’s Day.

Picnic under the shade of the blue gums, with views to the Lost World and beyond. Stroll to the river and take in the peaceful sounds of the Albert. Taste your way around the farm with picnic hampers featuring our farm delicacies and local produce.

This farm gate market for Mother’s Day is a celebration of life’s simple pleasures, shared with family, amongst family.

What’s so special about this market day?

Enjoy the soulful tunes of Nicky Convine, performing on the Bedford Stage against the stunning mountainous scenery.

Head off on your own animal feeding adventure; meet our dewy-eyed calves and cows, boisterous sheep, chickens, guinea pigs and of course, our cheeky pigs. Don’t miss the smashing pumpkins pig feeding with the farmers. A hit with the children and adults alike.

Why not take a wander down the river and dip your feet in the cool waters of the Albert? Perhaps a picnic blanket and one of our gourmet picnic hampers might be just the thing for your family this Mother’s Day.

We thought we’d add something extra with a feather theme. So, it seemed fitting that our free face painting, will have everyone sporting their favourite feathers for the day! Our kids activity area will have a collection of beautiful feathers gathered from around the farm, and all the goodies needed to make a beautiful gift for Mum.

Family portrait sittings by Kaddy Photography are back this year! 30 minute sessions with gorgeous backdrops around the farm. The perfect Mother’s Day momento. Spaces are very limited and sittings must be booked with your ticket purchase.

Join a paint session with Erin from Geeves Art. You’ll create a gorgeous feather themed piece of art to take home, whilst enjoying the company of family on this special day. Bookings required – book with your ticket purchase.

We’re taking our gourmet hampers back to our roots. Simple but delicious goods, created with love by our family. You’ll find our farm charcuterie, rich Jersey Girl treats, and the best of Scenic Rim produce ready for you to take away to your favourite picnic spot on the farm. Hampers are pre-order so please ensure you purchase these with your tickets! We won’t be offering these for sale on the day (pre-orders only).

For the first time on our farm, we’ll also be offering you the chance to join with us on our regenerative journey. Your family can now plant their very own family tree, right here on our family farm. We’ll have our favourite local natives available for planting – silky oaks, ironbark, and gum trees. Join the farmers to plant your little piece of history on our farm.

The gorgeous crew from Clovely Estate Wines will have their amazing range of wines available on the day. Purchase by the glass, or a bottle to share. A favourite of ours is their Verjuice, served chilled with sparkling water. Alcohol free but oh so special! We’re so happy to have Clovely join us and be able to support their flood recovery – we hope you’ll support them too.

We’ll have our Jersey Girl gourmet ice creams of course, and the Farm Larder will be stocked with all our farm deliciousness for you take home! We’re working on something special in our creamery – fingers crossed it’s a success, and ready for you to take home from our market day!

Prefer to BYO picnic, no problem. We’re happy for you to enjoy your own picnic on our farm.

With a true country atmosphere and picturesque views in abundance, our farm is the perfect place to celebrate this Mother’s Day.

Because we want to keep numbers low for this market day, it will be a ticketed event. Bookings essential. Closed in footwear essential. No pets allowed.
