Join our family for our Farm Gate Market on Sunday 16th July from 10.30am to 1.30pm
We love to share our farm story with visitors. We invite you to meet and feed our animals, chat with our farming family, get to know how we produce the freshest, nutrient dense produce on our 6th generation family farm. We’re committed to providing the highest quality produce that respects our animals, our land, and our family values. We think you’ll taste the difference.
Feed our farm animals, meet the farmers, picnic in the paddock or down by the river, and stock up on our fresh farm produce.
Grab your bucket of feed and create your own farm adventure feeding our crazy goats and sheep, ducks and chickens, dewy eyed Jersey calves, and of course, those pigs! Daisy has 8 gorgeous piglets whose antics get more adorable every day. Alex, Adam and their friends in the calf paddock are sure to win some hearts. Buckets of feed are included free of charge. If you’d like a pumpkin to smash for the pigs, we’ll have plenty available to purchase at the Farm Larder.
Pack a picnic (it’s BYO for this event – we’re keeping it simple) and enjoy it in the Picnic Paddock with views to the Lost World and beyond, or lay a blanket by the cool waters of the Albert River. If a picnic in the market garden is more your style, we’ll have gorgeous spots under our market umbrellas for you to enjoy. We’ll have coffee and milkshakes at the ready, and our Jersey Girl ice cream – new flavour alert!! BYO picnic and blankets.
And of course, don’t forget the esky! The Farm Larder is stocked with gorgeous Jersey rose veal. Tender veal schnitzel is a family favourite at the moment – crumbed with local sourdough, freshly picked herbs from Harry’s Paddock and zest from our farm lemons – it’s absolutely scrumptious.
We’ve been giving the old arm muscles a workout this week making our Jersey Girl cultured butter. Plenty of cream and creme fraiche to go around as well. And, Farmer Dave’s cream top milk will be on hand of course. Tommy has his pastured eggs, and Harry’s Paddock will supply the freshest lettuce, greens, popcorn and more for your Tommerup’s Farm Larder stock up.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our family farm!
